Privacy policy

This policy describes how Table Read, operated by Maxime Laurin, handles information in the app, on this website, and when you contact support.

Screenplays and local storage

The app imports and parses screenplay PDFs on your device. It saves a local copy of imported PDFs, parsed screenplay text, edits, voice assignments, preferences, and generated audio. Importing a PDF does not send its contents to the developer. Table Read has no developer-operated screenplay server or app account system.

The app does not implement cloud synchronization. Device or computer backups may include app files according to your operating system and backup settings.

Installed Apple voices

On-device playback uses installed Apple speech voices. Table Read does not send screenplay text to ElevenLabs when you select the on-device engine. Downloading additional system voices is managed by Apple.

Optional ElevenLabs playback

If you connect your ElevenLabs account, the app uses your API key to request available voices. When you play uncached passages using ElevenLabs, the app sends the requested spoken text, selected voice, and speech settings to ElevenLabs. Spoken text can include dialogue, narration, character names, and enabled scene headings or parenthetical directions. Delivery tags may also be included. The original PDF file is not uploaded by this integration.

ElevenLabs and its delivery infrastructure receive normal connection information, such as your IP address. Playing provider voice previews also contacts the preview host. Generated audio is saved locally for reuse.

ElevenLabs governs its own processing, retention, and model-training settings. Table Read does not promise zero retention. Review the ElevenLabs privacy policy and your account's data-use settings before sending sensitive content. Select on-device voices if you do not want screenplay text sent to ElevenLabs.

API key security

Your API key is stored in the device's Keychain and sent over HTTPS to authenticate requests to ElevenLabs. It is not sent to the Table Read developer. You can revoke the key in your ElevenLabs account. Never include it in support messages.

Support messages

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information or attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond and troubleshoot. Email is handled through Gmail and its infrastructure. Please avoid sharing confidential scripts or credentials. Support correspondence is retained while needed to resolve and follow up on your request, or to meet applicable obligations. Contact us to request deletion of correspondence.

Website and analytics

This website has no screenplay-upload form, advertising, or analytics scripts added by Table Read. Its hosting provider may process request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and secure the website. The app includes no developer-added advertising or analytics SDKs. Apple may separately handle diagnostics according to your device settings and Apple's policies.

Retention and your choices

App files remain on your device until removed. On iPhone and iPad, deleting the app removes its local app files; offloading the app keeps documents and data. Backups and Keychain items may persist separately. Revoke an ElevenLabs key at the provider if you want to disable it. For help removing local data on Mac, contact support.

We cannot directly delete files held only on your device or information held in your ElevenLabs account. Requests about provider-held data should also be directed to that provider. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, or object to its processing. Contact us to exercise those rights.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. For privacy questions or requests, email tableread.support@gmail.com.
